Dr. Paul Szak
A note from Dr. Szak….
It’s time for me to leave.
This year, 2021 marks the 45th year of my graduation from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry and the start of my career at 31 William Street in Brantford. Frank Wells and Glenn Young welcomed me into their practice and later accepted me as a partner. The practice grew and Dave Bobor and Greg Wilson joined the partnership as well. I have been fortunate to have worked with great partners, terrific associates (such as Michael Georgeff, Meghan Telfer and Rachel Kormos) and a number of hard working and dedicated staff members. I appreciate the fellowship with these people. I am also thankful for the strong working relationship with the other health care professionals in this community, especially with ophthalmology.
It has been over a year now that we had the first shutdown due to the Covid pandemic and I hoped, like everybody else, that things would soon return to normal. It did not, and as my age puts me in the “at risk” category it is time to say goodbye. It’s not the way that I had hoped to leave!
To you, the wonderful people of Brantford, Brant County, Six Nations and beyond that supported our office and trusted me with your eyesight, please accept my sincerest gratitude. You were an interesting bunch and I learned something new every day. You made my job an enjoyable one. As much as I will miss Optometry, I look forward to my time with Cathy and our growing family.
Again, many thanks, best wishes and please continue to support my friends at William Street Eyecare.
Sincerely,
Paul Szak
