Dr. Meghan Telfer
Dr. Meghan Telfer was born and raised in Brantford, Ontario and is a graduate of St. John’s College. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, before attending the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. Dr. Telfer completed her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2018 and graduated on the Dean’s Honour List and was the recipient of the Feldberg Scholarship, awarded to students in the fourth year class with the highest Grade Point Average.
Dr. Telfer completed a clinical internship at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Centre in West Haven, Connecticut where she gained experience in detecting and treating various ocular diseases. She also completed a clinical internship in vision therapy and paediatric eye care enhancing her interest in the importance of vision and eye development as it relates to early learning success.
Dr. Telfer is excited to be back in Brantford and for the opportunity to give back to the community. She looks forward to caring for the vision and eye health of families in the Brantford community from infancy to adulthood. In her spare time Dr. Telfer enjoys coaching CYO girls basketball, travelling and staying active.
